I am hoping this week sees the return of some semblance of normalcy (whatever that may be--I am not sure I even know what normal is anymore having spent the last several months running around and living in a construction zone) with the kitchen being well on its way to being finished. With that normalcy, I hope that I can also return to more regular blogging, which will include, Lord-willing, birthday updates for the three children who recently had birthdays and some Top 10 lists for 2011. Here's my first attempt this week:
Our dear Yuko sent us a package from Japan. The children were so excited to receive it and open it. She is such a sweet person. Inside were all sorts of goodies from Japan that the kids will love to eat, some photographs, a note and a wrapped present for each of us. Each of us received a fleece turtleneck sweater, which is just so cozy and warm. The kids loved them instantly and had to put them on right away!
What a blessing she has been in our lives. It's hard to believe it has been over two years since she returned to Japan, but the kids remember her being here and the things they did with her like it was yesterday.
