Jeremiah's 4 Year Well Child Visit

Today, a month or so late, I finally got around to taking Jeremiah to the doctor. I had no concerns for a change and he was really well behaved. The doctor examined him and he is healthy and growing and developing normally. He passed his vision and hearing test with flying colors. He did not need any vaccines. Apparently, Jeremiah decided to go on a growth spurt this year. He certainly looks a lot bigger, but I was not sure just how much bigger he was until today.

Height: 41.5 inches--75th percentile. He grew 4 inches in one year and went up from the 50th to 75th percentile. Hopefully, that trend will continue.

Weight: 32 pounds--15th percentile. He gained 5 pounds in one year and went up from the 5th to 15th percentile.

By way of comparison, here are the other kids' stats:
Isabelle: 40.75 inches, 35.5 pounds
Nathaniel 41 inches, 34.5 pounds
Gabriel 43.5 inches, 38 pounds.

So, Jeremiah is still the lightest child in the family, but he has now surpassed the twins in height for age. And then there is Gabriel.

The doctor said he was still too small for a belt positioning booster seat because state law says 40 pounds. He estimated that at his current rate of growth, he would be ready for  a booster by age 6.5!

All in all a good report! We are greatful for such good news after all the problems he had early on!
